AI Use Policy
Rules for safe and lawful use of ImageWise AI-assisted image features.
Last updated: 2026-08-23
This AI Use Policy applies to every ImageWise AI-assisted feature, including text and object removal, inpainting, image translation, enhancement, upscaling, generation, description, analysis, visual Q&A, and prompt generation. It supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Your Rights and Responsibility
You may submit or edit only content that you own or have all necessary permissions, licenses, consents, and lawful authority to process. You are responsible for the source image, selected region or mask, instructions, output, and any later publication or distribution.
ImageWise does not verify ownership before every task, does not grant you rights in third-party material, and does not certify that an output is lawful, authentic, unaltered, or suitable as evidence. You must review permissions and output before use.
Text, Object, Watermark, and Metadata Removal
Remove Text, Remove Object, inpainting, and metadata-removal tools may be used for lawful purposes such as cleaning your own photographs, removing unwanted objects or overlays you created, repairing licensed artwork, or preparing material you are authorized to edit.
You must not use these tools to:
- Remove or obscure a third party's watermark, copyright notice, author signature, attribution, stock-photo identifier, licensing notice, provenance or authenticity indicator, content credentials, or other rights-management information without authorization.
- Conceal infringement, falsify the origin or ownership of content, defeat authenticity checks, or pass off another party's work as your own.
- Fraudulently alter identification documents, passports, licenses, certificates, receipts, invoices, financial records, evidence, safety labels, product-authenticity information, ownership records, or other verification materials.
- Create deceptive records, impersonate another person or organization, evade platform or legal safeguards, or misrepresent edited content as authentic, unaltered, or officially issued.
The technical availability of a removal tool is not permission to remove protected or identifying material. ImageWise may refuse processing or take enforcement action even when the selected content can technically be removed.
Other Prohibited Content and Uses
You must not use ImageWise to create, transform, upload, distribute, or facilitate:
- Sexual exploitation or prohibited sexual content, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualized depictions of minors, grooming, non-consensual intimate imagery, or unlawful explicit content.
- Violent or gory abuse that promotes, glorifies, or depicts extreme violence, injury, or cruelty in violation of law or provider rules.
- Hateful content that attacks, dehumanizes, or encourages discrimination or violence against people or protected groups.
- Deepfakes, impersonation, or fraud, including deceptive synthetic media that misrepresents identity, consent, events, products, endorsements, or evidence.
- Copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights infringement, including processing or generating content you do not have permission to use.
- Malware, evasion, or unlawful activity, including content intended to facilitate scams, unauthorized access, surveillance, harassment, or circumvention of safety controls.
You must comply with applicable law, obtain required consents, and disclose synthetic or materially altered media where disclosure is required by law or context.
Content Moderation
ImageWise may use automated safeguards, provider-level safety measures, rate limits, and human review of reported or flagged content. These systems can be imperfect and may not identify every violation. When reasonably necessary to enforce this policy, prevent abuse, investigate reports, protect rights, or comply with law, we may review prompts, uploads, masks, outputs, task metadata, and relevant account activity.
We are not obligated to pre-screen every task or independently determine who owns submitted material.
Enforcement Actions
Depending on severity, context, and applicable law, we may:
- Refuse, block, or remove an input, output, task, or stored file.
- Limit or disable a feature, Credits, anonymous trials, or account access.
- Suspend or terminate an account, including accounts of repeat infringers.
- Preserve relevant records, investigate complaints, notify affected parties, and cooperate with lawful requests where required.
We may act without prior notice when reasonably necessary to protect users, children, third parties, rights holders, providers, or the service. Enforcement does not limit any other remedies available to ImageWise or an affected party.
Reporting Violations
To report prohibited content, impersonation, fraud, copyright or trademark infringement, privacy violations, or child-safety concerns, email [email protected] with the relevant URL or task reference, screenshots where lawful, your contact information, and a concise explanation. Do not attach or transmit illegal material, including CSAM.
Copyright and rights complaints should include the information described in our Terms of Service. We may request additional information and will handle reports as confidentially as reasonably possible.
AI Model Transparency
The model families currently used by ImageWise are disclosed in our Terms of Service. The exact model and provider depend on the selected feature and mode. Provider safety rules and availability may change, and ImageWise may substitute a comparable provider or model where reasonably necessary to operate the service.
